I have yet to figure out how this mouse is customizable... all the advertised gimmicks are either missing or somehow not working. The only thing i use is the tilt for dpi-adjustment. But other than that... for the price this mouse cost... waste of money. Next time ill buy a regular Logitech again.
Also... the right mouse button doesn't click properly. It sometimes just clicks 3-4 times on its own when i barely touch it and other times it wont hold RMB while im holding it, but instead it starts generating clicks even though the button is pressed down. All in all a serious letdown. I will not be buying anything from this company ever again.
My recommendation for future buyers: Dont buy this. (not this version at least).

UPDATE: I lied below. :) fourth update to fix the review title from "Unfortunate..." to "My end-game mouse!"
This is my third and final revision to my review. My first review was 2 stars, and I was really disappointed because I couldn't get the software going on Linux. Bryce immediately reached out to me, and provided world class service. I am so grateful people like him still exist, customer service is garbage nowadays. With his help I got the software working, and this is hands down the best mouse I've ever owned. The best by a mile. I have owned many, many, many mice. I would buy the insurance at best buy, and any problems I had with a specific mouse I would exchange it. Over the years I tried almost everything on the market, and the closest I got to my end-game mouse was a Razer Naga V2 pro. That mouse is great, but this blows it out of the water. The main reason I'm writing this review (might sound stupid) is because this mouse has solved the one problem plaguing me my entire adult life. No other mouse I've owned was a solution. I have big hands, and just resting my hand on the mouse would lead to accidental right clicks. This has driven me nuts over the years, it was my biggest annoyance and would happen with EVERY mouse I owned. No right click button could hold up the apparently massive weight of my middle finger LOL. I can't believe it, but the pressure sensitive buttons here have remedied this problem!!! Now if I accidentally right click while on my desktop nothing happens since it's light. I fine tuned the pressure to 70% which was perfection. Now an accidental right click doesn't irritatingly open up a context menu. Right clicks only happen when I want them! God Bless you guys. :) HAHAHA miracle product.
We got it and now we can´t stop using it. More than 2 years and still working as the first day.
Highly recommended from Spain!
I’ve had the swift point z2 for a month or so but the side display has already stopped working
Thanks for the review. This definitely shouldn't have happened. Our support team will reach out to you privately to get this sorted. We may be able to solve this with a factory reset and if not we will arrange a replacement for you asap!
I wish this came in all black. It doesn’t match the theme of my desk. :(
Thanks for the review! Sounds like the Z2 might be a better option for you as that comes in all black. Feel free to contact our support team if you want to arrange an exchange.
I used the swift point z and got it off kickstarter but after a while it started to die after constant use. I was using it till I couldn’t anymore then I found the z2. Very similar in feel and comfort and a much better UI in the software. I highly recommend this mouse to anyone who games or uses there computer a lot
First off, let me say that I’ve bought three of these. One quit working about six months after purchase. The next two have kept working…and working well. These are miracle devices if you suffer from any kind of hand pain while using a traditionally shaped mouse. I was at a point where I was going to have to quit using computers altogether, until this mouse — and literally overnight — took all of the pain out of repetitive mouse movements. So to me the price was worth the trade offs. But there is absolutely no way these devices should cost as much as they do. They’re tiny little pieces of plastic with simple little electronic components inside. They are a complete ripoff financially — unless of course you desperately need them like I do.
This mouse is extremely versatile, and exactly what I was looking for. It is completely customizable with many possible inputs. This makes it easy if you were to use it for video games, as you get lots of keybinds on your mouse, and also working, as you can set up macros for formulas in Google sheets or excel. Even though it looks weird and somewhat fragile, from what has (accidently) happened to it, it is sturdy and will hold up to most beatings. The functionality I like the most is the deep click settings. It allows you to have a second option, on the same button! Definitely nice.
I have owned the original Z1 and got the Z2 when it was released.. It is by far the best mouse I have ever used! I use to use Logitech for gaming with FPS to MMO games but the Swiftpoint won me over easy!! Mouse works in all kinds of programs as you can have multiple profiles.. I will say when I first tried the swiftpoint Z the little platform the pinky sits on took some getting used to but now I can't go back to a normal mouse. Both of my Pc's use the Swiftpoint Z series because it is that good!!.
The deep clicks and placement of buttons make it comfortable and easy.
The deep clicks are programmable to how much pressure you want and with how much vibration to let you know you have hit that pressure for whatever key bind you have set. The rgb can be shut off or on however you like as with the deep clicks.
I love it! It's so small. Portable ergonomic and customer service hands down is one of the best top notch 100% recommend! I had one for 2 or 3 years ago and it just stopped working. All the sudden out of nowhere and it was a model isn't made anymore. They actually sent me a replacement and upgraded the model it just pure amazing customer service!
The quality of the Z2 is amazing and I consider it technological marvel
The software is very intuitive and allows you to tweak things exactly how you want.
I simply cannot go back to any other mice
Ive been looking for a suitable replacement for my roccat leadr for quite awhile. This ended up being the closest thing i could find and it performs almost as good, its an inprovement in some areas and okay in others. I just wish it had an easy shift key, was shaped a bit better for picking it up for repositioning, and had two additional buttons on the top on the right mouse button side like the left mouse button has, then it would be perfect
Hi John, thanks for the feedback. Just so you know, every input on the Z2 does have 'easy shift' functionality. You can set this up in the X1 control panel. If you need a hand or want some instructions on how to do this, feel free to send us a private message and we can help you get started!
Honnestly i did not use the tilt fonction yet but but the fact that I can use several action with my 2 fingers and remap/config everything is gold.
The shape is good it slide on my mat like I've never seen before + the weight is just enough.
This is gold :D
This is possibly the best mouse I've ever purchased. The quality is unmatched. Definitely takes sometime to get used to tho. Also the support staff is quick to respond and very helpful. Would buy again!
Hi Rob, thanks for your review. For anything defective we will always cover the cost of return shipping so this may have slipped through the cracks with our support team. We will reach out in private to arrange cover for the return shipping!
I got the mouse primarily for easier multitasking and gaming since some of my games required extra keybinds I thought awkward by default. So far the mouse has been working fantastically. I enjoy it very much.
the mouse works really well ive had it for a few months now and it works pretty nicely just havent goten to use all the features on it much
(Elaboraing on my prevous review)
This sounds great on paper, but while on the fly, its a whole different thing.
When I bought this mouse I planned to incorporate the more eccentric features (tilt and hard press) it offers for GAMING, but it just didn't feel right. While competitive gaming, there will ALWAYS be a time when you unconsciously press harder than usual and so you might missclick your hard-press keybind or even activate the tilt function. So at least for the main buttons, I dont recommend this feature -Yes, you can calibrate, but if you go for a really hard press, then it is just too uncomfortable to use-.
Now, about the TILT function, Swiftpoint advertices it as a lean feature for shooters, but let me point out that when you tilt, your mouse sensor moves as well, making you lose AIM. This feature will also activate when you lift your mouse, a common thing even with large mousepads -trust me on this one- or when you press hard on some keys, so unless you use it inside another layer, or while pressing a modifier, this feature is useless for gaming.
I'm sure this mouse is wonderful for productivity.
I'd also like to point out that I'm not a fan of the scroll wheel. It feels cheap, same as the RBG logo.
Every other button is very cool, feels and performs great. I don't plan on returning, but CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED.
Thanks for the feedback. You can change to the lockout feet to turn the tilt functions off. Feel free to reach out to us directly or check out our community if you'd like some examples of how others are using them. If there's something specific you had in mind for using with tilt/deep click we'd be happy to help you get it set up.
Big fan since the Z1. However, it's best tailored for users who rest their hand's palm on the mouse ("palm grip"). If you - like me - prefer to put your palm behind the mouse on the mousepad, you will most likely (i) not be able to reach the small mouse button on the left of the main buttons, (ii) need to use the stubs instead of the larger standard "paddle" buttons for the secondary buttons and (iii) play around with the trigger buttons (I turned them around with the higher end facing the front) for best comfort.
For me, even though I have rather large hands, a smaller version would be perfect. For example, the back end of the mouse (where the logo sits) could be ~5mm thinner and maybe 10mm shorter.
I feel like I am witnessing the evolution of the mouse. It’s a real game changer..
Great at everything from productivity to gaming, wish it had a wireless option and would have loved if it had 8,000 hertz polling rate.
Overall does very well. I haven't had much chance to truly use the deepclick function but have used the tilt feature in warthunder to fly. With so many buttons, I have had some difficulty remembering what keybinds I have set for the games I play
